Random Blog Post 2

So end of the school year is right around the corner. It's April 5th and if my math is correct, I will be in the Galen Center in 35 days accepting my degree. It's pretty nuts to think about especially how quickly the end of the school year comes about after spring break. 4 years (3.5 years since I started in the Spring of 2021) just flew by. Senioritis is settling but I need to keep pushing until I get my degree because I can not afford to be lazy, especially because I have not ordered my cap and gown yet. There's still a lot on the line and if I slack off now, its going to come back to bite me. So, I need to put my head down and just push through.

I have a lot of group projects that are right around the corner. I don't even want to think about them. In total, I have three group projects, three finals, and then a portfolio for this class all of which needs to be completed in April. It's starting to feel overwhelming but it needs to be done. I don't think the group projects will be too bad especially if everyone carries their weight. Once that's taken care of, it'll be smooth sailing for the finals since one of them isn't cumulative. I don't know about the other one but we'll see.

Overall, I'm feeling bittersweet about leaving this school. I initially didn't want to come here but I think that this has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. And I think this bittersweetness is something that will persist into the future so getting comfortable with it now is probably wise. I am feeling optimistic about the future. Things have started to look up, I've lost a little bit of weight which is always good and I think that this positivity will continue. I've still got one more summer to enjoy with my friends and family before I enter the work force and see the world. My life, and every other senior's life, is just starting so I can't wait to see what comes my way.

    Hey Ramneek! I'm in the same spot and feel the same way, but make sure to order your cap and gown ASAP I think the deadline is nearly here.

    Hey Ramneek! I really related to your post as a senior myself. I'm starting my full-time job end of June, which seems way too early. I'm really trying to cherish the last 4 weeks at USC before everything gets too real :(

 I am really bad when it comes to doing work. In fact, I do not think I have ever been productive for more than four hours and not been distracted by something or someone around me. I am also very bad with deadlines and almost always do work right at the very end when it is due. So when Professor Hansen was going over the books that we could read for this assignment, I decided right there I was going to read Feel Good Productivity.  I chose this book because I want to become more productive. In high school, I got by without ever having to establish a routine and sticking to it. But, my habits have caught up to me and at the start of every semester, I always say I'm going to change and be a great student. However, I always mess things up. Book 1 Post 1

I was initially confused about the book I wanted to read. I wanted to revisit some old autobiographies I had read for grade school that I never bothered to finish due to them being a summer reading assignment. The first one that came to my mind was the  Autobiography of Malcolm X . I was drawn to that book due to the philosophy of Malcolm X when it came to the civil rights movement and the Black Panther group. However, as I pursued the books that Professor Hansen mentioned in the assignment, I began to pivot. I was torn between  Growing a Farmer  by Kurt Timmermeister and  How I Killed Pluto  by Mike Brown. I was drawn to  Growing a Farmer  because of the show  Clarkson's Farm  on Amazon Prime. It's a show that documents the journey of a famous motorist, Jeremy Clarkson, who is managing a farm and I wanted to hear the story of another farmer. IT Intern I'm graduating this year, so I am applying for jobs. It isn't very fun and it’s certainly not something I look forward to doing but I still   get on with it. Usually, there's an experience section where I must put in what I did. In this section I talk about the jobs I have had and the most recent one I put is IT Intern at Lavner Education.
